This study tries to identify factors facilitating or inhibiting
collaboration between surgeons at Weill Cornell Medical School in New
York City and biomedical engineers at Cornell In Ithaca, NY. The
purpose of this study is to improve our understanding of and our
ability to support distributed work and research conducted by
multidisciplinary teams through ethnographic and social network
methods. We will finally implement and evaluate emergent best
practices and novel technology solutions.
