Jennifer Thom-Santelli is a doctoral student studying human-computer interaction at Cornell University in the departments of Communication and Information Science. Her master’s degree is in human factors and ergonomics and prior to her return to graduate school, she worked as a web producer and content manager.

Her research interests lie in the concept of place and its relationship to context-aware computing, particularly the use of technology in public spaces. She is especially interested in how identity and attachment to physical place can be mediated and enriched by technology.
